Sri Vijaya Lakshmi gives us victory and keerthi. She blesses us with victory and Jeyam. All persons like victory and every country wanted the victory and win over everything. All the victories to happen, we should be blessed with Sri Vijaya Lakshmi.
Sri Vijaya Lakshmi is also called with the other name as "Sri Rajya Lakshmi" Rajyam means governing (or) commanding (or) leading. All these great qualities are found with Sri Vijaya Lakshmi. And with if a person is blessed with her grace, we can have Jayam (Victory) over everything. Now let us know about the story that happened in Karnataka.
Once there lived a person named "Vidhyarannar", who lead his life with great bhakti and without any jealous. He did a severe penance towards Sri Lakshmi. He did severe tapas towards Sri Lakshmi and on seeing the dedication and bhakti, Sri Lakshmi came infront of him. Sri Lakshmi said that during the present Janmam, he doesn't have the Bhagyam of getting the grace of Sri Lakshmi but in his next Janmam, he will get here complete blessings.
After hearing this, Vidhyarannar thought of Sri Aadhi Sankarar and changed himself to a Sanyasi. He asked to give the blessings of Sri Lakshmi as he has taken up a new Janmam of being a Sanyasi. On seeing this, Sri Lakshmi gave all sorts of wealth he needed. Lots of jewels, valuable and precious ornaments, money, etc., came for Vidhyarannar. But, whats the use of all these for a Sanyasi? The next moment he thought that all these doesn't favours him anymore and thought it should be used for some good needs. During the time he lived, the Islams destroyed the Hindu kingdom and all the Hindu temples were ruined.
So, to protect the great temples, vidyarannar thought there should be some brave kings to fight against these Islam kings. So, he choosed two kings Hari Harar and Pukkar to fight against the Islam kings, who destroyed the temples. They created a new kingdom in the name of Sri Vijaya Lakshmi, which was latterly called as the Vijaya Nagara Empire.
Sri Vijaya Lakshmi eradicates the evil thinking and blesses us with good thinking. If we think good, all the things happen will be good. So, by worshipping Sri Vijaya Lakshmi, we will be blessed with victory and can easily pass all the hurdles in our life.
